More about the role

Australia is a relatively new market for our client, and you will be required to not only nurture the current customer base, but also continue to grow and develop new customers and market segments in line with company and sales objectives.

You will need to be building your own brand and reputation as one of high product knowledge and up-to-date market understanding, while also ensuring the company is front of mind to key industry leaders and prospects.

You will need to build the right criteria for prospecting new customers and have built a strong pipeline to ensure your efforts are targeted and growth is achieved.

Our client prides itself on providing excellent customer service. Understanding the product range and the unique selling points of each will be a critical aspect of this role.

Having a chemical engineering degree is highly desirable as will be a knowledge of the industry and previous experience in surface coatings or traffic safety industry.

About You

  • You have a chemical engineering degree, and/or knowledge of the industry and previous experience working in surface coatings or traffic safety.
  • You have proven Business-to-Business industrial sales experience.
  • You actively secure new business and manage existing accounts.
  • You effectively manage and implement personal budgets, sales pipeline forecasting, territory management and product sales targets.
  • You enjoy working automatously, you’re a self-starter with a strong work ethic and a passion for customer service, sales and growth.
  • You’re a skilled communicator and can adapt your style to appeal to a broad and diverse set of buyers and decision makers.
  • You believe in achieving results. You hold yourself and others accountable for agreed objectives.
  • You act professionally and work quickly to establish trust and build lasting relationships.
