This position is for an Interior Designer with Sheldon Commercial Interiors located in North Sydney. Sheldon is a design and construct business specialising in office designs and fitouts. This role is an addition to the design team, driven by business growth.  During our meeting with Sheldon they shared with us their business needs, the challenges in the position and their vision for the applicant’s future success. We met the hiring manager for this role, the HR manager and the entire leadership team including the company CEO. This immediately told us how committed Sheldon were to finding the right person for their business and how important this role is for their company.

About you

Sheldon wants someone with design and construct experience. You’ll bring 3 + years of relevant experience including space planning, interpreting a brief and delivering conceptual designs. You have worked on a various sized projects and are growing on confidence around managing time and budget. You are agile and enjoy working on multiple projects simultaneously. You bring a willingness to learn and be hands on to help out when workload demands are high. All divisions of Sheldon work tightly together so you know how to work collaboratively with others, and can give feedback and receive it. You are someone that will learn the “Sheldon Way” as they have a series of interconnected systems and workflows designed to be most efficient. You will have a strong sense of the commercial nature of design, supporting the sales division to grow business,  building your network and and comfortably influencing in creative pitches. 

In return you will grow in your design capability and responsibility with the opportunity to advance within the business over time.
