About the Company
This position is for an experienced Business Development Manager with Sheldon Commercial Interiors located in North Sydney. In a robust construction market, the sales team is currently at capacity and now requires an experienced BDM to develop and grow business opportunities from current and untapped customers. During our meeting with Sheldon they shared with us their business needs, the challenges in the position and their vision for the applicant’s future success. We met their hiring manager, the HR manager and the entire leadership team. This immediately told us how committed Sheldon is to finding the right person for their business and how important this role is for their company.

The moment we walked into the Sheldon reception we knew we had arrived at a business that walked the talk. From the pool table  to the caravan (complete with beach theme), we knew we were in a different environment.

The Sheldon team is focused and they are doing some serious work and yet they don’t seem to take themselves too seriously. Their work is demanding, precise and a constant moving feast of changing priorities and they never lose sight of the end game which is happy customers. 

About You

There is a clear strategy for success in this role, where you will develop new revenue growth opportunities within the commercial office network. You’ll have an understanding of D&C, and/or Design Architecture industry with a working knowledge of Office fit outs.  To succeed in this role, you must be confident to communicate as an industry expert and influence as a trusted advisor.

You will have access to Sheldon’s extensive and persuasive sales collateral and work closely with the marketing, design and project teams to deliver targeted proposals and presentations. You have a history of building highly effective relationships with clients, demonstrated by your strong industry network. You are energised by challenges and deadlines. You think on your feet and always have a commercial mindset. You work confidently,  clarifying objections and clearly communicating the benefits of a business that offers a complete in-house design and construct service.
